Details
'Ventura' is a stable and seaworthy cutter-rigged ketch with long keel, built around 1946. She is listed by the Classic Yacht Association.

Extensive work has been done over the years since the current owner purchased her in 2005, with further significant work done in 2020 (removal and workshop refurbishment of motor, modification cabin furniture, painting of masts, renewal of standing rigging and new LED navigation lights on main mast and new wiring to both masts).

The current owner has sailed her extensively around Port Phillip and Westernport Bays, along Victorian Coast and Tasmania. She can be easily sailed single-handed in enclosed waters. She is equipped for off-shore cruising broadly based on ORC rules for offshore racing but is not currently offically rated.

The owner will be pleased to supply full maintenance records, equipment manuals and most recent professional survey (2011).
Inspection and a demonstration sail strictly by appointment to those genuinely interested in purchasing Ventura.

Ventura is kept on a swing mooring in the very sheltered waters of Swan Bay (Queenscliff).

* there is some additional equipment to be sold separately from the yacht *
