On 16 & 17 November, Royal Yacht Club of Victoria will once again be hosting their annual Lipton Cup Regatta. This year, after receiving feedback from competitors, the racing format has been revamped! There is now a focus on class racing for the S80s, Etchells and Diamonds, as well as the Adams 10 State Championships and the inaugural “Sydney Regatta”, bringing all of the Sydney classes into one set of results, 32s, 36s and 38s all going head to head.
The Lipton Cup Trophy is also undergoing a major change, making the regatta more inclusive. Instead of being awarded to the Division A IRC winner, this year it will be awarded to a team of a Div A or B, C and D boat.
St Kilda Ferry is also offering half price tickets for all Lipton Cup Competitors, making it easier for the sailors of the east to come across to the west for the post-race social programme.
